The London Behind the Library
Hi! My name is Bridget, but a series of iterations on the “bridge” nickname led me to my online identity: London. This is my little library, aka my platform for talking all things books. This concept started on Instagram (check out the link in the footer), but I feel like I have too much to say about each book and books in general to keep it to Insta. I mainly write my reviews so I remember what I thought of books when I inevitably get the question: “Bridget what should I read?” But maybe they can help you too <3 Welcome!
My reading journey has been… interesting. When I was young, I didn’t love to read, and only really hit my stride when I found the magic treehouse series. In middle school, I was diagnosed with a visual processing disorder, which explained why I was a slow reader, and why my mom would often find me upside down on the couch with my head on the ground while I was reading. In high school, my incredible English teachers taught me to go deeper into literature and introduced me to some of the books that still top my charts (we all loved our English teachers, right?) From there, I majored in English in undergrad and started reading for fun more regularly. In 2023, I read about 35 books which is nothing compared to the book influencers, but I like to read when I can fit it in and I’m always trying to read more.
Besides reading and writing for fun, I am a law student who reads many, many, many pages of case law each week. I also love to listen to Taylor Swift, knit, embroider, bake, do yoga, run, and watch youtube videos with my friends.
I hope you like it here.
